Edit PM

Note: Requires admin privileges to implement.  Please contact your Landport Administrator.  If you ARE your organization's Landport administrator and want to request PM privileges for yourself or a co-worker, please submit a ticket to  Landport Sales.

To edit a recurring/PM instruction:

1. From the Dashboard, tap Preventive Maintenance.
2. Use one of two ways to define a PM calendar:
  • "Monthly Totals" - Tap the month button to see PMs set to trigger during that month.  Note:  Before doing this, you may need to adjust the selected Manager of the PM, further down the page (hold the <Ctrl> key down to select multiple Managers).
  • "Filter Options for a Detailed Report of Requests"
  • All locations contained within - If needed, tap change location.  A pop-up window will appear allowing you to select a location/piece of equipment, using the "+" sign to drill down as needed.  Tap here, if you don't see the location pop-up window.
  • Service Type*
  • Manager* - Managers whom you've designated to be responsible for PMs will appear in the selection box.
  • Servicer company* - Vendors to whom you are auto-dispatching PMs will appear in the selection box.
  • Month(s)*
* Hold the <Ctrl> key down to select multiples.
3. Tap "Generate Detailed Calendar" (only tap one time).
4. Find the PM and tap its description.
5. Change necessary parameters (see Tips 1 & 2).
6. Tap "Submit to Calendar", to save update(s), thereby affecting all future work orders generated based on this PM instruction.  (Previously completed PM requests, and ones already in progress, will not be affected by the edits).
7. To return to the results of your specific PM search (step 2, above), tap Detailed Calendar.

Tip 1:  Editing the frequency - If a PM instruction has already triggered and generated requests, causing the frequency and first/last occurrence dates to be locked, you may still modify the dates by creating a new PM copy:
  1. Follow steps 1 - 4, above.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Submit to Calendar".
  3. Tap Create New, Same Settings (to create a near-copy of your PM).
  4. Re-select the location/piece of equipment.
  5. Define the new PM schedule, avoiding the last few days of the month, and making the year current.
  6. Tap "Submit to Calendar".
  7. Tap Detailed Calendar, to return your original search results (You won't see the new PM copy you just made).
  8. Tap the original PM description.
  9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Delete this Scheduled Maintenance Request" and then "OK".
Tip 2:  De-selecting auto-dispatch - If a PM instruction has already triggered and generated requests, and you want to change the "Auto-Dispatch to Servicer" from a particular Servicer to "Select and dispatch to Servicer later", the change will be over-ruled, because of how this particular rule is necessarily applied.  (Please note that you can change in the other direction...switching from "Select and dispatch to Servicer later" to picking a specific Servicer to receive the auto-dispatched PM request).  The way to get around this functionality, is by creating a new PM copy:
  1. Follow steps 1 - 4, for editing a PM.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Submit to Calendar".
  3. Tap Create New, Same Settings (to create a near-copy of your PM).
  4. Re-select the location/piece of equipment.
  5. At the bottom of the "Auto-Dispatch to Servicer" section, pick "Select and dispatch to Servicer later".
  6. Make the "first occurrence" year current and check "Indefinite End Date", if necessary.
  7. Tap "Submit to Calendar".
  8. Tap Detailed Calendar, to return your original search results (You won't see the new PM copy you just made).
  9. Tap the original PM description.
  10. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Delete this Scheduled Maintenance Request" and then "OK".
